School Psychologist job in Grand Haven, MI

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support students across two school sites in Grand Haven, MI The primary focus of this position will be conducting student evaluations and re-evaluations while collaborating with school teams to help identify student needs and support educational success.

School Sites
: 2 – 1 Elementary School & 1 Intermediate School

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations and re-evaluations
• Complete assessments to help determine students’ educational needs and eligibility for special education services
• Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations based on student needs
• Prepare evaluation reports and maintain accurate student records
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and eligibility determination meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
• Provide consultation and support to school staff regarding student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Assist with the development and review of appropriate educational recommendations and interventions
• Ensure evaluations and documentation are completed accurately and within required timelines
• Support students across one elementary and one intermediate school

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan School Psychologist credential
• Experience conducting school-based evaluations and re-evaluations
• Strong assessment, report-writing, and consultation skills
• Knowledge of special education eligibility requirements and evaluation procedures
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage responsibilities across two school sites
