Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students across two elementary schools and a preschool classroom. This contract opportunity offers a unique chance to work onsite and contribute to the personal growth and success of approximately 40 young learners. You will play a vital role in shaping positive school experiences for students, collaborating with educators and families along the way.

• Eligibility as a School Social Worker approved by the Michigan Department of Education
• Previous experience providing social work services in school settings, particularly elementary and preschool
• Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and crisis response
• Ability to partner effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents
• Compassionate communication and excellent organizational abilities

• Deliver social work services to students, addressing emotional, behavioral, and social needs that affect learning
• Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with educational teams
• Support students through individual and group counseling as needed
• Serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community resources
• Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines

This full-time, onsite role allows you to make a significant difference over a school year, from late August through mid-May. You will work 37.5 hours each week in a supportive educational environment, with the opportunity to positively influence students’ lifelong development.
