Special Education Teacher Opportunity – Michigan | 2026–2027 School Year

Position Details:

• Location: Lincoln Park, MI
• Full-time, school-based positions
• Start date:
  
  Fall 2026 (dates may vary by assignment)
• Multiple specialized classroom opportunities available
• Center-based and self-contained classroom settings

Compensation Range - $35/hr - $55/hr ( Based on experience, qualifications and caseload)

  • Transition-focused programming

• Emotional Impairments (EI) Programs
  • Elementary and upper elementary/middle school level support
  • Full school year assignments available

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction for students with ASD and Emotional Impairments.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
• Create a structured and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Implement individualized student goals and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification
• Appropriate Special Education endorsement:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (SV)
  • Emotional Impairments (EI)
• Experience working with students with Autism and/or Emotional Impairments preferred
• Experience in center-based programs preferred
• Comfortable supporting students with a range of behaviors, including aggressive behaviors
