Special Education Teacher – Michigan | 2026–2027 School Year
Are you a Special Education Teacher looking for a meaningful opportunity supporting students with unique learning and behavioral needs? We are seeking dedicated educators for full-time school-based positions in Michigan for the 2026–2027 school year
. Join a collaborative team focused on helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Position Details:
- Location:
Lincoln Park, MI area - Full-time, school-based assignments
- Start date:
Fall 2026 (dates may vary) - Elementary, middle, and high school opportunities available
- Self-contained and specialized program settings
Caseload Opportunities:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Programs
- Support students in middle and high school settings
- Transition-focused programming
- Short-term leave coverage available
- Emotional Impairments (EI) Programs
- Elementary and specialized classroom settings
- Full school year assignments available
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals.
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
- Develop and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and related service providers.
- Assist students in building independence and functional skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification
- Appropriate endorsement in:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (SV)
- Emotional Impairments (EI)
- Experience working with students with ASD and/or EI preferred
- Experience in center-based programs preferred
- Ability to support students with varying behavioral needs
