The Language and Social Skills Opportunities program is a SEDOL program that has been designed for those students in 4th-8th grades who exhibit characteristics of high functioning Autism (formerly Asperger's Syndrome) and have the potential to benefit from exposure to mainstream curriculum concepts and methods.
DescriptionSpecial Education Paraprofessionals support teachers in carrying out assignments with special education students as part of the daily routine. We have an openings for a 1:1 paraprofessional in our Lasso I program located at Olive Martin in Lake Villa, IL. The paraprofessional supports the classroom teacher with instructional and emotional growth.
A Day in the Life of a LASSO 1 Paraprofessional- Data Collection
- Bathroom Support (including but not limited to: diapering, potty training, etc)
- Implement curricular tools and behavior management strategies under the guidance of the teacher and/or related service providers
- Prepare classroom materials and support overall classroom organization, structure and cleanliness
Job Type: Full-time, School Year
Salary and Benefits- Starting Hourly Wage range from $21.67-$28.57 depending on experience and education
