Detroit Field Service Engineer – Electro-Mechanical
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Location: Detroit, MI (field based)
Travel: Up to 80%, including overnight travel
Compensation: $24.00–$29.00 per hour (based on experience)

Requirements: Detroit-area residence, valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, electro‑mechanical repair experience, diagnostic tools, travel readiness, U.S. work authorization, human performance test, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Auto Insurance: Personal vehicle use – require coverage of $100,000 bodily injury liability per person, $100,000 property damage liability, $300,000 bodily injury liability per accident.
Responsibilities- Travel to customer sites in Detroit and surrounding areas.
- Install electro‑mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to the component level.
- Repair or replace components, assemblies, wiring, connectors, harnesses, boards, sensors, power supplies, and related parts.
- Use diagnostic tools including digital multimeters.
- Follow service procedures, technical documents, and safety requirements.
- Document service findings and parts used.
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Support schedule changes, travel days, overtime, and customer‑site expectations.
- At least 1 year hands‑on technical electro‑mechanical repair experience.
- Experience servicing electro‑mechanical products.
- Ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools including digital multimeters.
- Comfort working with wiring harnesses, connectors, and sensitive electronic components.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Capability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Travel readiness up to 80%, including overnight travel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Command line or Power Shell familiarity.
- OEM equipment support.
- ISO, regulated, healthcare, or quality‑controlled environment experience.
- Military technical training.
- Strong service documentation habits.
- Pay Range: $24.00–$29.00 per hour.
