Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical hardware for IoT devices and chipset-based platforms, from concept to production
- Perform schematic design, component selection, and PCB development for embedded systems
- Integrate SoCs, MCUs, sensors, RF modules, and power management ICs (PMICs) into system designs
- Support chipset bring-up, reference design validation, and system-level debug
- Conduct signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI) and EMI/EMC analysis and mitigation
- Collaborate with firmware and silicon teams on HW-SW co-design and validation
- Support board bring-up, functional testing, and failure analysis using lab equipment
- Drive EVT/DVT/PVT phases, ensuring design maturity and production readiness
- Work with manufacturing partners on DFM/DFA, yield improvement, and cost optimization
- Develop and execute hardware validation plans and compliance testing (FCC, CE, UL, etc.)
- Support customer engagements and field issue resolution
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in hardware design for embedded, IoT, or semiconductor-based products
- Strong experience in schematic and PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of digital, analog, and mixed-signal design
- Experience working with SoCs/MCUs, memory (DDR, Flash), and peripherals
- Knowledge of power tree design, PMIC integration, and low-power architectures
- Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation
- Familiarity with DFM/DFA and mass production processes
- Understanding of EMC/ESD, grounding, and protection design
- Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience in chipset validation or reference platform development
- Exposure to RF design for Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G, or LPWAN
- Knowledge of IoT protocols (BLE, Zigbee, LoRa, Wi‑Fi, NB‑IoT)
- Experience in high‑volume manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with hardware security, secure boot, and trusted execution environments
- Experience working with global ODM/EMS partners
