As a Virtual Assembly Engineer you will work with multiple customers, acting as a consultant and trusted partner in injury prevention, systems engineering, and systems integration. You will help customers innovate, solve current challenges, and guide them with Sandalwood’s deep subject‑matter expertise.

Qualifications- Ability to establish priorities and work independently or within a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Professional appearance and competent representation of Sandalwood to customers.
- Experience with MODAPTS, automotive products, production processes and protocols; knowledge of industrial engineering principles such as time standards and optimization.
- Proficiency with Siemens PLM products, including Teamcenter, Process Simulate, and/or Jack.
- Ability to use Process Simulate to create simulations of automotive assembly lines and to read and understand manufacturing process sheets.
- Knowledge of the product development process and experience with CAD modeling and simulation tools.
- Experience with Virtual Reality or Motion Capture.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and embrace new challenges enthusiastically.
- Create, manage, and maintain plant, process, and product structures in Siemens Teamcenter.
- Create workstation and full line simulations using Siemens PLM Process Simulate software.
- Identify, track, and help resolve issues critical to quality, process, workstation design, labour standards, ergonomics, tool clearance, and assembly feasibility.
- Lead weekly virtual assembly review meetings with stakeholders from various engineering teams.
- Participate in and support team activities on projects, collaborating with technical specialists.
- B.S. or higher in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years or more of industry experience.
- Ability to travel to different locations to support project work.
