- Lead system-level electrical design for AR/VR/Smart Device products, from concept through mass production (MP).
- Design and validate high-speed digital circuits, including CPU, DDR, UFS/eMMC, MIPI, PCIe, USB, HDMI, and power management systems.
- Perform schematic design, component selection, and signal/power integrity analysis (SI/PI) using Cadence OrCAD / Allegro / Sigrity tools.
- Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and EMC/thermal constraints are properly implemented.
- Support board bring-up, functional validation, and failure analysis using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.
- Work with BSP and firmware teams on HW-SW integration and issue debugging.
- Participate in EVT/DVT/PVT validation and drive design improvements for yield, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with CM/ODM manufacturing partners on DFM/DFA reviews and production readiness.
- Support customer project teams by providing technical leadership, on-site debugging, and issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware design for embedded or consumer electronics systems.
- Proficiency with Cadence OrCAD and Allegro for schematic and PCB design.
- Experience using Cadence Sigrity or equivalent for signal/power integrity simulation is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of high-speed design, including DDR, MIPI, USB, HDMI, PCIe, and impedance control.
- Solid experience with power tree design, PMIC integration, and low-power architecture.
- Familiarity with EMC/ESD design guidelines, grounding strategy, and protection circuitry.
- Skilled in hardware debugging and validation using lab instruments (oscilloscope, DMM, logic analyzer, thermal camera, etc.).
- Experience with EVT/DVT/PVT process and working with contract manufacturers (CM/ODM).
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in cross-regional teams.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with QC hardware platforms (QCS
8550, QCS
6490, QCS
8250/...). - Experience in AR/VR, Smart Glasses, Smart Camera, or IoT device hardware design.
- Familiarity with thermal design, system reliability, and EMC testing.
- Exposure to AI Edge or sensor fusion hardware systems.
- Understanding of hardware cost optimization and component sourcing constraints.
