G&E Partners are retained by a top site and asphalt contractor in Detroit to secure an Estimator to lead bids up to $30M. They're a family orientated outfit set on expansion into nearby regions and states with 70%+ repeat business.

• Win new work to further grow their backlog for new larger projects.
• Bid Preparation:
  Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work.
• Gather and evaluate cost data from subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Review and revise estimates as needed to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and minimize cost overruns.
• Contract Negotiation:
  Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to negotiate favourable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress and compare actual costs to estimated costs.
• Proposal Development:
  Assist in the preparation of comprehensive proposals for clients, including technical information, pricing, and project schedules.

• Minimum of 7 years of road/asphalt/site development estimating experience required.
• Experience bidding on projects up to $50M.
• A degree in Construction management or Civil Engineering.
• Commutable distance from Detroit Metro area.
