In your new role you will:- Act as the regional technical expert focused on automotive power supplies and in-vehicle networking solutions
- Provide detailed product technical support to sales and training to Tier 1 and OEM customers for Switching power supply ICs, Application-specific PMICs, System Basis ICs, Linear voltage regulators, CAN and LIN transceivers
- Support customers during design reviews, worse case analysis, device selection, and system evaluations/debugging
- Develop and deliver technical presentations to customers to support sales teams in the qualification of new opportunities
- Become part of a global expert team finding the best solutions for our customers and developing new concepts, innovation, and new technologies influencing our product and application roadmaps
- Establish and develop trusted relationships with key customer engineering personnel and decision-makers
- Engage with global product lines and regional marketing on strategies and best practices impacting our strategic direction
- B.S. Electrical Engineering, MSEE Preferred
- 10+ combined years of experience as a semiconductor Application Engineer or automotive electronic system design engineer, preferably with some experience serving automotive electronics
- Strong technical knowledge and design experience on a system level
- New and innovative methods to confront and solve problems
- Thermal design, modeling, simulation, and analysis experience
- An understanding of complex state machines used in advanced PMICs including fault management strategies and Functional Safety
- Good interpersonal skills to interface with customers and internal Sales and Business Unit partners including mentoring and coaching
- Business acumen to assess overall system solution cost
