Service Technician Specialist

Job Description

• Conduct full evaluations of system performance—efficiency, speed, and part quality from pellet to pallet.
• Partner with regional service teams to ensure customers achieve optimal running conditions for all equipment and systems.
• Verify mechanical production readiness and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Take full ownership of injection molding systems throughout the entire process lifecycle.
• Diagnose and resolve diverse engineering challenges across all components of the injection molding system.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement operating procedures and address system malfunctions.
• Maintain mechanical equipment, systems, and processes in alignment with engineering principles and production requirements.
• Communicate with call centers, engineering teams, and customers to document, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues within the injection molding system.
• Submit continuous improvement ideas for product or process enhancement.
• Train new team members, customers, and service representatives on proper start-up, troubleshooting, and interpretation of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings.

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of experience as a Service Engineer, Service Technician, Mechanical Engineer, or similar role within the injection molding industry.

• Production of PET preforms, closures using HDPE or PP, or medical components using materials such as COC and PP.
• Reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings.
• Troubleshooting and repairing complete injection molding systems, including molds, machines, and auxiliary equipment such as resin handling and conditioning systems.
• Diagnosing processing issues affecting part quality and system efficiency.

Must Be comfortable traveling Monday-Friday!
