Prototype Technician

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Integration Technician. This role is responsible for supporting the assembly and integration of complex mechanical systems, ensuring proper fitment and functionality, and contributing to prototype and production build activities.

• Assemble and integrate mechanical components and sub-systems into larger assemblies
• Install structural, thermal, and powertrain-related components according to engineering specifications
• Verify alignment, tolerances, and torque requirements during system integration
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and bills of materials
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical fitment or interference issues during builds
• Support prototype development and continuous improvement initiatives
• Document build processes, changes, and technical findings

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or system integration
• Experience working with complex mechanical systems in a manufacturing or prototype environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD documentation
• Experience working with tolerance stack-ups and torque specifications
• Proficiency in using standard mechanical hand and power tools
• High school diploma or equivalent technical training
• Experience supporting prototype or pre-production builds
• Background in transportation, industrial equipment, or related industries
• Familiarity with mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Associate degree or technical certification in a mechanical discipline
• Experience working in regulated or quality-controlled manufacturing environments
