The Maintenance Planner / Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance work while also providing leadership to maintenance personnel . The position ensures safe, reliable equipment operation , compliance with MSHA safety standards , and effective execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs .

This role works closely with operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and storeroom personnel to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability in a heavy industrial mining environment .

• Plan and schedule maintenance work orders and develop detailed job plans
• Lead and support maintenance personnel and shift supervision as needed
• Ensure compliance with MSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Coordinate contractors and shutdown / overhaul activities
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history in CMMS systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control system issues
• Support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct inspections in underground and surface mining environments

• 5+ years maintenance leadership or planning experience
• Background in heavy industrial maintenance (mining, steel, cement, aggregates, manufacturing, etc.)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Experience with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
• Knowledge of hydraulics, diesel equipment, welding, rigging, electrical systems
• Exposure to PLC and Allen-Bradley control systems preferred
• Comfortable working in underground mine conditions and variable shifts
