Position OverviewThe Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Co‑op will support the AME team in improving assembly line efficiency, conducting performance studies, and developing technical specifications for operations build stations. This role provides hands‑on exposure to real‑world manufacturing processes and offers valuable experience in engineering project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) studies and recommend improvements.
- Assist in developing operations build station technical specifications.
- Education:
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - Skills:
Strong math skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, mechanical aptitude preferred. - Communication:
Ability to clearly communicate technical findings and collaborate with team members.
- Practical
Experience:
Gain hands‑on exposure to assembly line optimization and performance improvement studies. - Mentorship:
Guidance from direct supervisors and leadership from the Engineering Director. - Professional Development:
Build technical skills in manufacturing engineering, OEE analysis, and process optimization. - Career Opportunities:
High‑performing interns may be considered for future roles within the AME team.
- Performance Metrics:
Knowledge advancement and measurable impact on assembly processes, specifically in Takt time, OEE, and technical specification creation. - Evaluation Method:
Completion timing, quality, and thoroughness of assigned projects.
