As the Vehicle Test Technician, I will use their skills to set up, conduct, and assist in the analysis of a vehicle test to ensure data meets design specifications established by Customers.
Main Responsibilities:- Knowledge of basics of Passenger Car, Light Truck and Vehicle Brake Systems.
- Fit and function incoming parts on a Vehicle.
- Understanding of physical measurements of test components (rotors & brake pads).
- Startup of Data Acquisition equipment including 3802 & VMAX.
- Install and troubleshoot Data Acquisition equipment, basic sensors, and thermocouples on a vehicle.
- Knowledge of different pressure transducers.
- Measure rotor LRO / DTV & understand LRO / DTV basics.
- Read rotor mapping plots.
- Monitor tests in progress to ensure they are running to specification.
- Ensure test results are complete and accurate.
- Assist with test activities and question specifications for new tests.
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
- All other related duties as assigned.
- Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.
- Adhere and perform all duties aligned with the core values of the LINK Group organization, Can-Do Attitude, Courage, Commitment, Humility and Accountability.
- Automotive trade school or ASE certified preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in automotive testing or related work experience.
- Completed coursework in digital electronics, circuit functions and basic electronics preferred.
- Understanding of basic and analog & temperature data preferred.
- Ability to understand priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to bring projects to completion in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to work well in a Team environment.
- Technical aptitude to form hypothesis, verify test methods, draw conclusions, and communicate results effectively.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to walk.
- Ability to speak verbally and read in English.
- Ability to see with corrective lenses.
- Ability to hear.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand‑eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
