Civil Engineer (Design-Focused) – Hybrid Opportunity

Compensation: $55,000 – $85,000
Location: Metro Detroit area (multiple office location options
- Downtown Detroit, Birmingham, and Washington)
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in-office
Interview Process: 1 virtual + 1 onsite

Are you a Civil Engineer who enjoys design and wants to be part of a growing, high-performing team? This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding engineering firm working on a diverse mix of municipal and private development projects.

• Perform engineering analysis, design, and calculations for site development projects
• Design grading, drainage, and utility systems (water main, sanitary, storm, and fire protection)
• Complete hydrology and hydraulic calculations for piping and conveyance systems
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (planners, architects, clients, and stakeholders)
• Support proposal development and cost estimates for smaller projects
• Provide construction support, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and occasional site visits
• Assist with permitting, zoning reviews, and regulatory compliance
• Participate in client meetings and present technical information as needed
• Mentor junior staff as you grow in your role

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of relevant civil/site design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong interest in design and project ownership
