Responsibilities- Work closely with diverse teams of engineers to derive functional and safety requirements from use cases and driving modes on the left side of the V-Model, and to integrate and validate requirements on the right.
- Contribute to architecture decomposition and architecture validation, and mentor development teams in requirements process, workflow and good requirements composition practices.
- Guide teams in system safety engineering methodologies for development and verification.
- Manage requirements traceability, verification methodologies for safety, handle conflicting and changing requirements, and establish and manage projects in JAMA.
- Collaborate with other teams within NVIDIA on V-Model process improvements and support alignment to customer requirement management processes.
- Apply model-based systems engineering methods to safety and security functions.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of proven industry experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset across multiple domains.
- Hands‑on experience with state‑of‑the‑art systems engineering methodologies such as requirements management, peer review processes, configuration management, risk management, and verification and traceability.
- Experience defining, improving, implementing, and rolling out processes.
- Experience applying the V-Model to complex engineering projects, ideally throughout the entire software development life cycle.
- Practical experience in ADAS or autonomous vehicle systems and in model‑based systems engineering (MBSE).
- Knowledge of system safety methodologies and practices (FMEA, FTA, STPA, CPA) and of safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO 21448, ISO 8800).
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience with systematic requirements management, peer review, risk management, and traceability.
- Success in applying the V-Model across all phases of software development.
- Expertise in model‑based systems engineering and MBSE tools.
- Deep understanding of system safety practices (FMEA, FTA, STPA, CPA) and relevant safety standards.
Base salary ranges are:
Level 4 – $184,000 – 287,500;
Level 5 – $224,000 – 356,500. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
