Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay Range: $45–$65/hour (based on experience)
What’s the Job?- Provide direct production line support for PLC, CNC, and HMI control systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues impacting production uptime and KPIs
- Design, implement, and optimize control systems for industrial equipment
- Support system integration of sensors, actuators, and robotic logic (KUKA/automation systems)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation
- Strong experience with Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of HMI systems and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and debug complex automated systems
- Work with advanced automotive manufacturing systems and automation technologies
