In This RoleAs a Systems Engineer Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to support the development, integration, and validation of complex automotive systems that power next‑generation vehicle comfort and motion technologies. You will gain hands‑on experience across the full systems lifecycle — from requirements and design to testing and validation. You will support engineering teams working on embedded systems, electromechanical components, and automotive comfort technologies.
Whatwill you be doing as a Systems Engineer Intern?
- Systems Requirements & Documentation: Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting system requirements for automotive components and subsystems.
- System Architecture & Design Support: Contribute to system block diagrams, interface definitions, and design reviews.
- Testing & Validation: Support test planning, execution, and data analysis for system‑level and component‑level validation.
- Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Work with engineers to identify issues, analyze failures, and support corrective actions.
- Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Partner with mechanical, electrical, software, and quality teams to ensure system alignment and performance. - Modeling & Simulation (as applicable): Assist with system modeling, simulation, or analysis tools used in the design process.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives, documentation updates, and workflow optimization.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Interest in automotive systems, embedded technologies, or electromechanical design.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn in a fast‑paced engineering setting.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Exposure to systems engineering principles (requirements, V‑model, validation).
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or similar tools.
- Experience with CAN, LIN, or other automotive communication protocols.
- Understanding of basic electrical or mechanical systems.
- Coursework or project experience in embedded systems, controls, or mechatronics.
