Project Purchasing & Acquisitions JIS

Responsibilities

• Management of purchasing activities for dedicated customer projects along the project lifetime including a liability for the project's material cost, quality and timing
• Conduction of sourcing process within dedicate customer projects in alignment with commodity strategies
• Serial support of customer projects along the whole product lifetime (SOP until EOP)
• Supporting the target-costing process for customer projects during acquisition phase
• Creation and alignment of procurement concept
• Sourcing of project specific parts
• Change management during project and series phase
• Organization and execution of progress reviews with suppliers to ensure the internal production start
• Continuous identification and implementation of cost reduction measures (VA/VE)
• Preparation and conduction of negotiations with suppliers
• Preparation and presentation of sourcing decisions in the sourcing board
• Coordination of technical meetings (feasibility study / concepts / etc.) with suppliers, including the necessary technical functions (Quality / Design / Tool Technology)

• Bachelor degree (technical or commercial )
• At least 2-3 years experience in strategic and/or operational procurement preferably within automotive industry
• Presentation and communication skills
• Negotiation expertise / Analytical mindset (Ability to analyze complex cost breakdowns to secure competitive pricing)
• Ability to assess risks and opportunities in supplier cost breakdowns
• Sharp negotiation tactics
• Ability to balance cost savings with strategic relationships
• Good technical understanding
• Experience in handling complex programs from procurement perspective from concept through launch and during serial production
• Ability to collaborate cross functional in a project team
