Electrical Engineering, Automation & Mechatronics Engineer, Systems Engineer
Strong instrumentation and controls engineers are the difference between a test facility that runs and one that fights you.
I'm partnering with an established engineering, integration and construction firm in the Detroit metro area to hire an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for their controls group. The work spans technically complex R&D, process and production systems: control system architecture, flow diagrams and P&IDs, control sequences and design specifications, PLC and HMI programming across Siemens (Step 7, S120), Allen-Bradley, GE and Wago, wiring schematics and panel layouts, then onsite startup, I/O checkout, loop tuning and commissioning.
Ideal background:
a BS in Electrical Engineering, five-plus years in PLC design, build and programming with field experience, ladder logic, AutoCAD Electrical, and ideally engine test cell instrumentation and controls.
Hybrid with summer Fridays, national travel around 25 to 40%, a competitive salary plus bonus, and a genuinely strong, repeat Top Workplace culture.
