Electrical Engineer

As an entry-level Electrical Engineer, you will join one of the nation’s largest utility companies supporting the development, operation, and optimization of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) assets. This team plays a critical role in ensuring renewable energy sites operate safely, reliably, and efficiently throughout their lifecycle. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical data and identify trends.
• Internship, co-op, academic project, or research experience in engineering, utilities, energy, or infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Interest in renewable energy systems, battery storage technology, asset performance, and engineering operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

• Support the long-term operation and performance of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage facilities.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment and system issues through data analysis, root cause investigations, and collaboration with field personnel.
• Participate in field visits to gain hands‑on exposure to renewable energy equipment, site operations, and maintenance activities.
• Review engineering studies, technical designs, and project documentation to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
• Evaluate renewable energy project proposals and assist with scoring and technical assessments during Request for Proposal (RFP) review cycles.
• Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of engineering standards, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, compliance, environmental, and legal teams throughout project execution and asset ownership.
• Utilize tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Bluebeam, Visio, and Microsoft Office to analyze data, review project drawings, improve workflows, and document processes.
• Explore and evaluate emerging technologies, automation opportunities, and AI solutions that can improve engineering processes and team efficiency.
• Participate in project meetings and provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
