We have an exciting Contract opportunity for an experienced Technical Publications Engineer with strong expertise in Cortona3D Rapid Author to support a leading Aerospace & Defense program in Daytona, Florida
.
Position: Technical Publications Engineer – Rapid Author (Cortona3D)
Location: Daytona, Florida (Onsite/Hybrid/Remote)
Job Type: Contract

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain interactive 3D technical publications, maintenance manuals, and illustrated parts documentation using Cortona3D Rapid Author
. - Create technical content and interactive graphics from CAD and PLM data.
- Author and maintain documentation in accordance with S1000D technical publication standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and configuration management teams to ensure documentation accuracy and consistency.
- Support the complete documentation lifecycle, including authoring, review, publishing, and revision management.
- Ensure documentation complies with applicable aerospace and defense standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cortona3D Rapid Author (Mandatory).
- Experience creating technical publications within a PLM environment
. - Working knowledge of S1000D technical publication standards.
- Experience supporting Aerospace or Defense programs.
- Familiarity with CAD platforms such as NX, CATIA
, or similar, and experience with 3D technical documentation workflows. - Strong attention to detail and experience working in configuration-controlled environments.
