Mechanical Design Engineer

Design and develop heavy-duty truck axle components and systems, supporting the full product lifecycle from concept through validation, testing, and production release. Experience designing axle components with Siemens NX is required to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and modify axle components and assemblies using Siemens NX (3D modeling and 2D drawings).
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, BOMs, and change records in PLM/PDM systems.
• Develop and manage DVP&R activities in partnership with testing teams.
• Support prototype builds, testing, root cause analysis, and implementation of design improvements.
• Collaborate with application engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and global engineering teams.
• Apply engineering methodologies such as DFMEA, FEA, and DOE to support robust product designs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of heavy-duty truck axle design and development experience.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX for 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems such as SAP, PLATON, or similar.
• Understanding of DVP&R, DFMEA, and basic FEA principles.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work hands-on with axle components and support testing activities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with feature-based documentation.
• Exposure to DOE and advanced product validation processes.
• Experience working with global engineering teams.
