Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join their Detroit team.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join their Detroit team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform geotechnical investigations and subsurface explorations.
  • Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions.
  • Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and recommendations.
  • Conduct analyses related to foundations, settlement, retaining structures, slope stability, and earthwork.
  • Support projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Conduct site visits and construction observations.
  • Assist with project management, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Mentor and support junior engineering staff.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of geotechnical consulting experience.
  • EIT required; PE required or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Strong understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
  • Experience preparing technical reports and engineering calculations.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Experience
  • Transportation, energy, industrial, municipal, or infrastructure projects.
  • Construction observation and field investigation experience.
  • Experience working directly with contractors and project stakeholders.
