Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company
, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a Maintenance Engineer
, you will be part of the Engineering and Maintenance Department supporting the Production, Skilled Trades, and Maintenance Teams
. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay Range: $40-$50/hour (Depending on Experience)

What's the Job?
  • Provide plant floor support for reactive and proactive maintenance activities in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Respond as a 2nd-level support resource for unscheduled equipment downtime and machine failures.
  • Manage maintenance documentation including spare parts lists, schematics, maintenance plans, and machine prints.
  • Analyze maintenance KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Lead equipment retrofit, upgrade, and replacement projects while supporting new production line launches.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Maintenance Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, maintenance practices, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with CMMS systems, preventative maintenance programs, and KPI analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using AutoCAD or similar applications.
