Synoelec Technology USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer to support customers across the automotive, energy storage, data center, renewable energy, and industrial markets.

This position will serve as a key technical interface between customers, Sales, and our internal R&D and engineering teams. The FAE will support customers throughout the product selection, design-in, validation, and production process, with a primary focus on circuit protection products, including fuses and related electrical protection solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, customer-facing FAE experience, and hands‑on experience working with product development or R&D teams.

• Serve as the technical business lead for assigned customers and programs, owning the technical relationship, application strategy, and execution from initial opportunity through production.
• Partner closely with Sales to develop and execute customer strategies, identify new business opportunities, and drive design‑win activities that support revenue growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customer engineering, sourcing, and quality teams, serving as the trusted technical point of contact for circuit protection solutions.
• Lead technical discussions with customers to understand system requirements and translate them into clear engineering requirements for internal R&D, product engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Recommend appropriate circuit protection solutions based on customer applications, including fuse selection, electrical protection requirements, and key application parameters (e.g., voltage/current, I²t, interrupting capability, thermal derating).
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and test plans, and prepare technical proposals, product comparisons, calculations, and risk assessments as needed.
• Lead or actively participate in customer design reviews, technical meetings, and product demonstrations.
• Drive technical activities for new business opportunities from initial evaluation through sample development, testing, qualification, PPAP/customer approval, and production launch, maintaining clear action plans for requirements, milestones, and risks.
• Coordinate with internal R&D, product engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams, serving as the primary technical communication bridge between U.S. customers and global engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot customer technical issues, lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions, and follow issues through to closure.
• Identify technical risks during customer development and proactively develop mitigation plans; support new product introductions.
• Collect and analyze customer requirements, application trends, and competitive information to support product roadmap development and provide recommendations on product positioning and differentiation.
• Provide technical training and guidance to customers, Sales, and internal teams; maintain accurate documentation of customer requirements, project status, and validation results.
• Manage multiple customer programs and priorities simultaneously, and travel to customer sites, manufacturing locations, and industry events as required.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience:

2–3+ years of relevant engineering experience in automotive electronics, power electronics, circuit protection, electrical components, or related industries. Previous FAE, Application Engineering, Product Engineering, or R&D experience is strongly preferred.
