Position SummaryThe Coordinator of Learning Operations is a pivotal member of the Learning & Engagement team at the DSO. Reporting to the Manager of Student Development, the Coordinator of Learning Operations works directly with students, families, teaching faculty, administrative staff, orchestra musicians, stagehands, and community partners to implement music education and enrichment programs of the highest quality. These programs include the training ensembles of the Wu Family Academy, and community-based partnerships.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities- Work with the Manager of Student Development and the Learning team to manage the artistic and event operations of the Training Ensembles of the Wu Family Academy
- Communicate and confirm schedules, event details, and logistical needs to all relevant parties, including, but not limited to, staff, faculty, stagehands, instructors, and community partners
- Ensure a smooth-running and high-impact musical experience for students by developing appropriate relationships with students, parents, and faculty, consistently providing outstanding customer service to all constituents
- Lead logistical planning for all training ensemble rehearsals, concerts, special events, touring, recordings, and auditions
- Arrange and manage weekly transportation for Civic Youth Ensembles students
- Manage databases, all learning platforms, and calendars
- Record and manage financial information including general ledger, accounts payable, receivables and tuition
- Serve as Manager on Duty for rehearsals and concerts
- Track and communicate with students and families about attendance
- Ensure all new registrants have required materials for participation in the program
- Manage inventory of instruments, rentals, and repairs for CYE instruments
- Manage inventory of snacks for weekly rehearsals
- Perform other duties as assigned
