Financial Systems Manager

Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on Workday Finance Lead to oversee the design, configuration, and optimization of Workday Financial Management modules. This role will act as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and Business Operations
, ensuring scalable, compliant, and user-focused financial processes that enable ongoing transformation and growth.

The ideal consultant has deep configuration expertise in Workday Financials, strong functional finance knowledge, and a proven track record leading or supporting enterprise Workday Finance initiatives.

• Lead the Workday Financials workstream as part of global Finance transformation projects.
• Serve as functional SME for key modules:
  Core Financials (GL, AP, AR), Banking, Procurement, Expenses, Assets, Projects, Grants, and Supplier Accounts.
• Translate business requirements into effective Workday configuration and process solutions.
• Own hands-on configuration, testing, and deployment activities within Workday Financials.
• Manage change requests, regression testing, and release readiness in collaboration with Finance and IT stakeholders.
• Partner with GRC, Risk, and Audit teams to ensure SOX and compliance alignment.
• Promote continuous improvement and system adoption through reporting, documentation, and training.
• Coordinate with integration partners (e.g., Mule Soft, external vendors) to ensure accurate data flows.
• Maintain ownership of functional design documentation, test scripts, and process maps.
• Mentor junior team members or contractors as needed.
