Role DescriptionThe Controller leads the accounting function and ensures the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting. This role is responsible for the oversight of accounting operations, internal controls, compliance, and the financial close process. The Controller plays a strategic and hands-on role, partnering with senior leadership to support the company’s financial performance, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes.

- Compliance & Controls
- Directs all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and commissions.
- Develops and enforces accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Oversees internal accounting and coordinates with external accountants / auditors to facilitate annual reports, address any findings, and ensure timely and clean audit outcomes.
- Financial Reporting
- Leads the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensures timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversees the monthly close process and ensures proper reconciliation of accounts.
- Provides actionable financial insights to support business strategy and performance management.
- Team Leadership
- Leads, mentors, and develops accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitors and analyzes financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Manages team performance, sets clear objectives, and supports professional development.
- Aligns departmental goals with broader organizational priorities.

- Partners with senior leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts.
- Provides variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
