Job SummaryDelta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is a leading dental benefits provider. In this role you will drive analytics to support government programs, P&L management, and strategic initiatives, delivering financial insights across markets.
Primary Responsibilities- Collaborate with administrative and operational leadership to identify financial performance improvement opportunities and gaps between business goals and objectives.
- Provide analytical insights to optimize revenue through rate advocacy discussions across all markets and support lobbying activities nationwide.
- Drive cost‑management initiatives, identify savings opportunities, evaluate tactics, and track execution against monthly performance.
- Lead alignment and consensus on financial decisions across markets and segments.
- Present risk assessments and trend analyses to leadership, including historical, projected, and retail trends.
- Develop complex financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and risk factors to support business decisions.
- Perform other related duties as needed to complete the primary responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of corporate finance: budget processes, financial analysis for health‑care programs and projects, cost accounting principles, managed‑care pricing, monthly financial reporting, benchmarking, and analytical tools.
- Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to resolve complex problems using independent judgment.
- Experience in management consulting.
