SummaryThe Credit Analyst - CIP is an excellent career development position within the vigorous Middle Market Commercial Banking environment at Huntington National Bank. The individual will work with clients whose revenues are $50MM+ and will learn the essentials of commercial banking.
Duties and Responsibilities- Work directly with sales and credit personnel in generating approval documents while also helping to protect the quality of the Bank’s loan portfolio.
- Gather and analyze all financial and business information to determine creditworthiness for loans, review and spread borrower financial statements and identify risks or strengths.
- In partnership with the Portfolio Managers, assess the creditworthiness of commercial borrowers by identifying risks posed by the borrower’s specialized industry, line of business, financial history and outlook, the economy, and the proposed loan structure, among other factors.
- Create approval and portfolio review documents, including writing summary analysis.
- Work in a team environment and provide support as needed, which may include special projects.
- Assist in the mentoring and training of credit analysts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other related fields.
- Experience or demonstrated school work in commercial lending and/or financial evaluation of companies.
- Demonstrated confidence, assertiveness, professionalism, and desire to learn.
- Strong customer service aptitude and goal oriented.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Compensation$25.00 - $48.56 hourly (base salary, actual compensation will vary based on location, experience, and education). Eligible for incentive compensation.
