Summary
The Sr Financial Recovery Rep (Conventional CRB/Business Banking) develops resolution strategy on classified (special asset) loans to minimize losses on current Business Banking or commercial loan portfolio. Responsibilities include analyzing financial plans, negotiating loan collection or restructuring, and recommending/overseeing litigation, liquidation or charge‑off of loan. Works with moderately large and complex loans and may coach less experienced employees.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop resolution strategy on classified (special asset) loans to minimize losses on current loan portfolio.
- Analyze financial plans, negotiate loan collection or restructuring, and recommend/oversee litigation, liquidation or charge‑off of loan.
- Work with business line loan officers to manage non‑pass rated borrowing relationship.
- Adhere to bank policies and procedures and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Accountable for risk management, compliance, and audit performance for area(s) of responsibility whether a supervisor, manager, or individual contributor.
- Establish or work with management to develop effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored, and controlled and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on‑going basis.
- Ensure staff is properly trained, provided with appropriate resources, and motivated to adhere to risk management principles (if applicable).
- Maintain current knowledge of risk‑related changes that may impact assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting or equivalent, relevant work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial/business banking underwriting, lending, or credit required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong goal achievement orientation.
- Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and ability and desire to provide simply the best service to our clients.
- Ability to work independently in a deadline driven and goal‑oriented team environment.
- Basic working knowledge of PC applications.
$70,000–$140,000 annual salary. The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
WorkplaceOffice. Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. The program includes both remote and in‑office options, with specific arrangements provided by the hiring team.
