Job Description
Vice President of Finance serves as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning. This role is responsible for ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization, driving operational efficiency, and supporting long‑term growth initiatives.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability.
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and tax.
- Lead the development of financial models and business plans for strategic initiatives.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Manage relationships with investors, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor cash flow, capital structure, and investment strategies.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Lead risk management efforts including insurance, internal controls, and compliance.
- Drive operational efficiency through financial systems and process improvements.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
- Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering professional development and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including executive-level roles.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Deep understanding of financial regulations, GAAP, and corporate governance.
- Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.
- Proven track record of strategic financial planning and execution.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial technologies.
- Ability to partner with executive leadership on strategic and operational initiatives.
- Familiarity with GSA or federal financial compliance.
- Background in capital fundraising, investor relations, or IPO readiness.
