The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage process from initial inquiry through closing, including assessing borrower needs, collecting documentation, and recommending suitable loan products. Day-to-day tasks include originating and structuring mortgage loans, coordinating with underwriting and processing teams, and ensuring timely, accurate communication with clients and partners.

• Experience in Loan Officer roles, including originating and managing mortgage applications.
• Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, regulations, and products.
• Understanding of Underwriting standards and the ability to collaborate effectively with underwriting teams.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills with a focus on transparency, clear communication, and client advocacy.
• Proven ability to analyze financial documents, credit profiles, and income to assess borrower eligibility.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to work on-site in the Detroit Metropolitan Area and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Relevant state mortgage loan originator license (or eligibility to obtain), and familiarity with compliance requirements.
