Associate Vice President, Operational Due Diligence About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Operational Due Diligence. The successful candidate will conduct operational due diligence reviews for investments in hedge funds, real estate, and private equity. This role involves on‑site meetings with external asset managers to assess their operational strength and risk management capabilities, documenting and presenting findings to regional research committees. The ideal candidate should have a background in operations and/or audit within the asset management business, with a focus on hedge fund, real estate, and private equity operations.
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.
- Conduct operational due diligence reviews for investments in hedge funds, real estate, and private equity.
- Meet on‑site with external asset managers to assess operational strengths and risk management capabilities.
- Document and present findings to regional research committees.
- Lead special projects and perform regulatory research.
- Analyze financial statements.
- Conduct due diligence on administrators supporting the underlying managers.
- 3–5 years of experience in a relevant role such as auditing investment products or working in operations and/or audit departments of an asset management firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Chartered Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst qualification.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and best practices in the asset management industry, particularly related to hedge funds and pooled investment products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Prepared to travel up to 20% of the time.
