Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Interventional Technologist with ARRT certification and recent trauma Level 1 and Cath Lab experience.
Responsibilities- Position is in a hospital interventional radiology department
- Works primarily as an IR Tech, not a general X-ray role
- Trauma Level 1 facility
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
- 13-week contract assignment
- May require floating to a nearby sister hospital
- Use of specialized radiologic equipment and imaging technology
- Involves performance of complex invasive diagnostic procedures
- PACS system and Radiology Information System (RIS) used; familiarity required
- Responsible for preparing patients and equipment for invasive radiology procedures and assisting the radiologist during procedures
- Performs quality assurance and ensures imaging safety best practices
- May assist with training new staff or students
- COVID vaccination is mandatory for this role
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- Online training modules must be completed onsite, typically one week prior to start
- Must be able to replenish and manage clinical supplies relevant to the IR department
- Work attire and dress code will follow hospital policy
- Active MI Radiologic Technologist license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of recent interventional radiology experience required
- Experience working in a trauma Level 1 facility required
- Current ARRT registry in radiography required
- Advanced ARRT certification in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV) is preferred
- Cath Lab experience required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must complete required online modules and receive a passing score prior to start
