Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Detroit, Michigan (start 03/02/2026). This role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and 40 hours per week.

• One year recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
• Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification, compliant with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Valid Radiologic Technologist license
• PALS or ENPC certification
• Other relevant certifications or licenses

• Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
• Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff and self
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures
• Manage and restock procedural supplies (catheters, guide wires, contrast agents)
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and other team members to provide seamless patient care
• Follow all infection control, safety and regulatory protocols
• Provide patient education before, during and after procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards

• Critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal communication
• Proficient reading, writing and verbal communication in English
• Ability to read/write instructions, follow verbal instructions, PC skills
• Physical capability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend
• Professional interpersonal skills, positive attitude
• Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation during procedures
• Mental resilience to cope with patient contact, deadlines, irregular schedules
• Visual acuity and effective communication
