Job Overview
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Detroit, Michigan (start 03/02/2026). This role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and 40 hours per week.

- One year recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification, compliant with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license
- PALS or ENPC certification
- Other relevant certifications or licenses
- Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures
- Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
- Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
- Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff and self
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures
- Manage and restock procedural supplies (catheters, guide wires, contrast agents)
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and other team members to provide seamless patient care
- Follow all infection control, safety and regulatory protocols
- Provide patient education before, during and after procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal communication
- Proficient reading, writing and verbal communication in English
- Ability to read/write instructions, follow verbal instructions, PC skills
- Physical capability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend
- Professional interpersonal skills, positive attitude
- Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation during procedures
- Mental resilience to cope with patient contact, deadlines, irregular schedules
- Visual acuity and effective communication
