GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Director (or Manager) of Environmental Services, supervises the operational and personnel activities of the Environmental Services Department.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFormal recommendations and functional supervision is exercised over support staff.
PERSONAL INTERACTIONDaily contacts are made with departmental managers and employees to discuss cleaning schedules or problems. Monthly contacts are made with patients when performing housekeeping tasks in patient rooms.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Higher education preferred.
- Approximately three (3) years of related experience in order to gain knowledge of Environmental Service processes, operation of sanitation equipment and familiarity with materials and supplies utilized in institutional cleaning; including some leadership experience;
Health Care Housekeeping (Environmental Services) preferred.
