Insight Global is searching for a Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and applicable collective bargaining agreements. This position works closely with Human Resources, Finance, and departmental payroll liaisons to ensure employee compensation, deductions, and reporting are processed correctly and confidentially.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field

Experience with governmental payroll systems and Michigan public-sector payroll requirements
Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise payroll systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Knowledge of public-sector payroll practices, wage and hour laws, and collective bargaining agreements []
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate calculations
Proficiency with payroll and HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel
Ability to analyze payroll data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders
