General Description

The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter is responsible for performing HR‑related duties. This position requires a strong background in recruitment, as well as carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Administers and coordinates benefits but not limited to medical/dental/vision/STD/life insurance/retirement, etc.
  • Audits invoices related to benefits to ensure accuracy as it regards HR services.
  • Completes monthly/quarterly/annual background checks to ensure compliance.
  • Back‑up Facilitator for New Employee Orientation.
  • Maintains accurate staff rosters and updates in the HRIS when needed.
  • Runs reports and analyzes HR data for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Processes new hires.
  • Tracks employees’ licensures/certifications to ensure compliance.
  • Completes regulatory agencies’ audits as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Recruitment
  • Manages the agency's recruitment and selection efforts.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements/candidate profiles.
  • Source, screen, and shortlist qualified candidates using various channels (job boards, social media, professional networks, etc.).
  • Conduct initial interviews to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Provide a positive candidate experience thru clear communication & feedback.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring teams.
  • Negotiate offers and manage onboarding processes.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to attract diverse and high‑caliber talent.
  • Maintain a robust talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment‑related activities.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required.
  • Three (3) years of recent advanced Human Resources experience required.
  • Experience working in non-profit, public health sector or community mental health setting is preferred.
  • Proven background in recruitment and knowledgeable of best practices.
  • Experience with Paycom highly preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory agencies’ audits (i.e., DWIHN, HRSA, MDHHS, EEOC, etc.) highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and attention to detail skills are required.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with diverse partners and audiences.
  • Must be adept at managing multiple tasks and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Ability to strategically think, analyze and problem‑solve effectively.
