Verkada is seeking an Enterprise Field Solutions Engineer based in Minneapolis, Detroit, or Chicago with expertise in Cloud Security, IoT Systems, Networking, Linux, Security Surveillance, and Access Control. This role partners with territory account executives to expand Verkada’s footprint upmarket into Fortune 500 companies. Responsibilities include interfacing with customers/partners throughout the sales process, overcoming technical objections, assisting customers in designing deployments with Verkada products, and providing technical support to territory account reps.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to learn quickly, and work independently while delivering impactful results remotely.

• Technical Leader: Be the subject matter authority on the Verkada product suite and articulate the value of our offerings throughout the sales process.
• Objection Handler: Overcome objections and secure technical wins for Verkada.
• Evangelist: Present the Verkada solution to all levels of customer leadership and educate partners, customers, and internal teams on the latest product offerings.
• Travel regularly, estimated to be more than 50% of the time, including domestic and international destinations as needed to support business operations, customer and partner engagement, and team collaboration.

• 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, with a proven track record working with Fortune 500 companies.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills for clear articulation of technical matters with customers and partners.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or security field from an accredited university.
• Strong networking background: HTTPS, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Bonus: Industry certifications (AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure, CISSP, CSP).
• Experience with Active Directory, SAML/SCIM, APIs, Python, and other coding languages is a plus.
• Startup experience.

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprising base pay and commissions (if applicable).

$155,000 - $205,000 USD
