Role SummaryHush is building an intelligent, multi-channel growth system that uses data, automation, and AI to create high-quality sales conversations with senior leaders in financial services.
We are seeking a Growth Systems Engineer to design, operate, and continuously optimize this capability.
This is not a traditional marketing role and not a traditional software engineering role. It is a hybrid position for someone with a computer science or IT background who enjoys configuring tools, building workflows, running experiments, and improving systems tied directly to business outcomes.
This is a full-time, on-site consulting role in Michigan.

Role ObjectiveYour mission is to build and operate an automated growth engine that supports outreach across multiple channels (email, Linked In, phone, SMS, social) and consistently produces qualified early‑stage sales conversations.
Success is measured by:
- quality of conversations generated
- meetings booked
- speed from lead identification to first engagement
- continuous improvement in system performance

Key ResponsibilitiesSystems Design & Automation
- Configure and connect tools into reliable workflows
- Build logic for prospect selection, routing, and engagement
- Maintain data quality and process integrity
- Ensure all activity is logged in Hub Spot
Applied AI & Tooling
- Use AI tools to assist with research, targeting, and message drafting
- Implement guardrails for quality, brand, and compliance
- Continuously refine prompts and workflows
Multi‑Channel Engagement Support
- Support outreach across email, Linked In, phone, SMS, and social channels
- Help determine which channels are most effective for different audiences
- Work closely with sales to improve engagement quality
Experimentation & Optimization
- Design and run controlled experiments
- Analyze results and iterate weekly
- Improve reply rates, meeting quality, and time‑to‑conversation
Revenue Alignment
- Partner with sales leadership to ensure systems generate qualified conversations
- Focus on signal quality over volume
- Eliminate low‑performing workflows and scale what works

This is a systems and operations role with revenue responsibility.

Ideal Candidate ProfileThis role is best suited for a candidate with a strong technical and analytical foundation who enjoys building and optimizing systems tied to real business outcomes.
Required Background- Major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical discipline
- Strong academic performance (3.5+ GPA preferred)
Coursework in at least two of the following:
- statistics or experimental design
- algorithms or data structures
- databases or systems
- machine learning or AI
- applied behavioral science
Experience (one or more of the following):
- Prior internship or role in operations, growth ops, revenue ops, sales ops, or systems/IT
- OR demonstrable academic or personal projects involving automation, workflow design, and experimentation
Skills & Traits:
- Highly analytical and comfortable working with data
- Strong systems and logical thinking
- Curious about how technology influences human behavior
- Comfortable working with tools and platforms rather than writing large amounts of custom code
- Able to design experiments and learn from results
- High attention to detail and quality

Engagement Structure & CompensationThis role will begin as a full‑time, on‑site contract engagement (3–4 months), with the intent to convert to a full‑time position based on performance and mutual fit.
Compensation (contract phase):
$30–45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
If converted to full‑time:
Expected base salary range: $70,000–95,000 plus equity and benefits.
Performance‑based incentives may be offered based on measurable contribution to early‑stage deal generation.
