Corporate & IT Auditor

Orion Solutions Group is seeking a contract to hire Corporate & IT Auditor who enjoys working in a truly integrated audit environment. Each audit begins with a fresh risk assessment, with scope and testing built around current business and technology risks rather than repeatable checklists. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, applying both financial and IT audit skills, and building new audit approaches for each project.

The position requires one day per week onsite at the Detroit HQ, typically Wednesdays, with minimal travel and excellent work life balance.

• Conduct integrated corporate and IT audits, including planning, risk assessment, control evaluation, testing, and reporting.
• Perform financial and operational audits with targeted IT testing such as access controls, segregation of duties, and application controls.
• Identify key risks, relevant data sources, and control gaps across business processes and supporting systems.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to business, IT, and senior management.
• Support development of the annual audit plan through risk assessments and audit universe input.
• Assist with project risk assessments, lessons learned sessions, and management action planning workshops.
• Maintain audit work plans and prepare timely, accurate audit documentation.
• Recommend improvements to audit methodologies, tools, and use of data and analytics.
• Educate business and IT teams on internal controls and risk management practices.
• Collaborate with cross functional audit teams on a project-by-project basis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Four to six years of relevant experience, including at least two years focused on IT risks and controls.
• Working knowledge of IT general controls, application controls, and business process controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Security, Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• Professional Certifications such as CPA, CISA, CFE, or CIA preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving, conflict resolution, time management, verbal and written skills are required.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit software tools.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
• Ability to effectively interface with operating management at all levels.
• Willingness to travel to various locations within the state of Michigan.
