The IT Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the organization’s IT Department by managing IT assets, coordinating IT-related administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires. This role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as a basic understanding of IT systems, troubleshooting, and end‑user support.
Responsibilities- Process new hire IT requests, including Help Desk tickets, equipment setup, and desk phone configuration.
- Manage and maintain IT asset inventory, including hardware, accessories, and software licenses.
- Monitor, assign, and escalate Help Desk tickets as needed to ensure timely resolution. Track ticket status and follow up to confirm issue resolution.
- Install and update software, drivers, and security patches on company devices, including workstations, laptops, and mobile devices, following IT security protocols.
- Manage building key fob access and update Active Directory with user and computer details.
- Maintain company cellphone roster and process IT accessory supply orders.
- Provide first‑level support via Help Desk calls, emails, and walk‑ins by assisting with basic IT issues and escalating technical problems as needed.
- Assist with job site IT setup and basic troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain up‑to‑date IT documentation, including asset logs, software license records, and troubleshooting guides for common IT issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Director.
- High School Education or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document IT‑related tasks accurately.
- Basic customer service skills to communicate IT solutions effectively to non‑technical users.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
