Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated intern with an interest in technology, data, and business systems to support ongoing digital initiatives across CRM enhancements, analytics dashboards, and internal web‑based applications. This role provides hands‑on exposure to enterprise IT projects, analytics, and business‑facing technology in a structured, fast‑paced environment. Prior exposure to chemical or scientific environments is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

CRM & Business Systems Support

  • Assist with CRM‑related initiatives, including requirements documentation, data validation, and test case preparation
  • Support coordination between technical teams and business stakeholders by tracking feedback, issues, and enhancement requests
  • Maintain project documentation and artifacts used during CRM module redesigns and system releases
  • Support analytics and dashboard development for sales leadership and executive reporting
  • Assist with data preparation, Excel and CSV reviews, basic analysis, and validation of dashboard outputs
  • Help document key performance indicators (KPIs) and verify calculation logic to ensure alignment with business requirements

Internal Web & Application Support

  • Assist with testing internal web‑based tools and applications
  • Review user interfaces, support configuration updates, and help maintain system documentation
  • Gain exposure to Python‑based tools, dashboards, and modern analytics workflows (coding not required)

Documentation & Project Organization

  • Organize, categorize, and maintain technical and project documentation
  • Review and update documentation for accuracy, consistency, and formatting standards
  • Support migration of documents into centralized document management systems
  • Assist in developing naming conventions, version control, and document retention practices
  • Prepare summaries, visuals, and materials for leadership discussions
  • Provide ad‑hoc analysis and reporting support as needed

Internship Objectives

  • Improve organization and accessibility of technical and project documentation
  • Support accuracy and quality of CRM and analytics deliverables
  • Contribute to active enterprise technology and analytics initiatives
  • Gain practical experience working across IT, analytics, and business teams

Qualifications

Required

  • Based in the Metro Detroit area
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule (in‑person and remote) while meeting defined goals and deliverables
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry or another science‑related field
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, One Note, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams

Preferred

  • Interest or exposure to CRM systems, data analytics, or business systems
  • Familiarity with structured project environments or documentation standards
  • Exposure to chemical, manufacturing, or scientific business environments
