Our client unlocks the potential of AI/ML and Generative AI technologies - prototyping, refining, validating, and scaling impactful products and solutions across enterprises rapidly for clients across industries.
They are looking for a fractional Microsoft Pre-Sales & Delivery Lead to support a client opportunity involving SQL Server to Microsoft Fabric modernization, partnering with their existing Microsoft Fabric and AI team (including an AI Architect).
What You Will Get To Do- Serve as a client-facing leader
, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and acting as a strategic advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle. - Lead pre-sales engagements
, partnering with sales and delivery teams to shape solutions that align with client objectives and drive business value. - Develop and deliver compelling solution presentations
, clearly articulating complex data and analytics capabilities to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Engage with executive stakeholders (C-level and senior leadership) to understand strategic priorities, influence decision-making, and position the organization as a long-term partner.
- Translate client needs into scalable, high-impact solutions, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution.
- 8+ years of working in a pre-sales capacity working for a professional services firm is required.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including enterprise-scale data architecture, platform design, and integration of AI-driven capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience leading modernization initiatives from SQL Server and Azure environments to Microsoft Fabric, with a focus on scalability, performance, and business impact.
- Hands-on exposure to AI-enabled workflows, automation, or agent-based solutions within modern data platforms.
- Strong ability to bridge deep technical expertise with business strategy, preferably within regulated industries such as banking, financial services, or mortgage environments.
- Exceptional executive communication and storytelling skills, with a track record of leading pre-sales workshops, solution envisioning sessions, and executive briefings.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical architectures into clear, compelling business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a client-facing, pre-sales leadership role, establishing technical credibility while guiding and enabling delivery teams (vs. hands-on implementation)
- Experience influencing solution direction and ensuring alignment across sales, delivery, and client leadership teams.
- Location: Must be based in the greater Detroit, MI metro area, with the ability to be onsite as needed for client and team engagements.
- Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without current or future sponsorship requirements.
- Engagement Type: Fractional role requiring approximately 10–16 hours per week
; open to both W2 and 1099 arrangements
