Legal Innovation Technology Analyst

We are seeking a Legal Innovation Technology Analyst to join a law firm's Client & Innovation Office in Detroit, MI. This position is perfect for individuals who grasp legal processes, enjoy tackling technological challenges, and can enhance the use of AI, contract analysis, document automation, and litigation management tools by attorneys and legal professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Aid attorneys and legal teams in incorporating legal technology into ongoing cases and internal procedures
  • Assist in defining, setting up, and initiating projects utilizing platforms like Kira, Luminance, Opus 2, Legora, Harvey, or similar tools
  • Develop practical resources for users, including quick reference guides, FAQs, checklists, screenshots, and workflow documentation
  • Deliver initial training, demonstrations, and day-to-day support for selected applications
  • Monitor usage, gather feedback, record challenges, and pinpoint areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with attorneys, IT, Innovation, Training, Knowledge, Research, vendors, and practice groups to devise technology-based solutions
  • Stay abreast of legal tech trends, such as agentic AI, contract analysis, collaboration tools, and case management platforms
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with law firm or legal department procedures, including attorney output, case stages, and transaction or litigation processes
  • Hands-on involvement in legal tech support, system implementation, project management, or workflow enhancement
  • Quick grasp of new platforms and ability to explain technology clearly to both attorneys and non-technical users
  • Knowledge of legal tech tools like Kira, Luminance, Opus 2, Legora, Harvey, or similar applications
  • Experience with GenAI prompting, no-code/low-code workflows, or AI-powered legal process aid
  • Strong skills in listening, communication, customer service, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and reporting tools; familiarity with Power BI is a bonus
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and professionalism
  • Preferably hold a college degree in a related field
