The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director, Information Technology Systems to lead its regional IT organization across U.S. and Mexico operations — owning North American IT strategy and ensuring secure, reliable, scalable technology platforms across manufacturing and corporate operations, while partnering with global IT leadership abroad.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the North American IT strategy aligned with business and global objectives
- Lead infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, networking, cloud, and end-user support
- Partner with manufacturing, finance, engineering, sales, and supply chain leaders on digital transformation
- Own ERP strategy, implementation, and support; oversee MES integration and Industry 4.0 initiatives
- Maintain cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity programs
- Manage IT budgets, vendors, and strategic technology investments
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing IT organization; partner closely with global IT leadership
- Develop IT KPIs and executive-level reporting
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required); MBA/advanced technical degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership in manufacturing, including multi-site experience
- Automotive supplier experience strongly preferred; ERP implementation track record required
- Strong cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud knowledge; digital transformation leadership experience
- PLEX ERP experience strongly preferred
- Global organization experience preferred; willingness to travel 20–30%, including internationally
